About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graduate / Junior Software Developer to join our growing team. You will work closely with an experienced mid-level developer as your primary mentor, as well as the broader engineering and product team.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping our technology stack and building our platform from scratch. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work on both front-end and back-end development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to learn quickly, ship real features and grow into a confident mid-level engineer.

What you will do

• Build and improve product features under guidance from your mentor and senior engineers

• Fix bugs and help improve the stability and performance of the platform

• Write clean, well-structured, well-documented code

• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback

• Help maintain and write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)

• Work with product and design to understand requirements, edge cases and user impact

• Assist with basic troubleshooting and debugging in test and production (with support)

• Follow our engineering practices for Git, branching, code reviews and deployments

How you will be supported

You will have:

• A dedicated mid-level developer mentor as your day-to-day go-to person

• Regular check-ins focused on your learning, progress and career goals

• Pair programming sessions on new features and tricky problems

• Clear expectations for your first 3, 6 and 12 months

• Access to documentation, examples and past work to learn from

About you

• Recent graduate or 0–2 years of professional software development experience

• Comfortable with at least one modern programming language

  • e.g. TypeScript / JavaScript / Python / Java / C#

• Basic understanding of:

  • Data structures (arrays, lists, maps, sets)

  • Simple algorithms and complexity

  • Web concepts such as HTTP and REST APIs

• Familiar with Git and branching / pull request workflows

• Some exposure to web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic frontend concepts)

• Curious, proactive and not afraid to ask questions

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Organised, reliable and able to follow through on tasks

Nice to have (but not required)

Experience from uni, side projects or internships with any of:

• Frontend frameworks, e.g. React, Vue or similar

• Backend frameworks, e.g. Node.js/Express, Django, .NET, Spring

• Relational databases, e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server

• Cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP

• Writing automated tests (Jest, pytest, etc.)

• Agile practices (sprints, standups, retrospectives)

• Interest in fintech, payments or SaaS products
